ROFL Roundup: Black Eyed Peas

Updated: 06.04.09

There is something to be said about making something stripped down that’s hypnotic. BEP seems to have that set. Ill admit, I was hating on them for a while when Fergie joined up. They went from having this off kilter urban vibe I was feelin to… well Pop. And there is no doubt that Fergie made them a different group, but not necessarily in a bad way. When I go back and listen to these tracks there is a lot to love. If its just the hypnotic rhythm of Bebot, or the energy inducing Pump It, there is a real style to it.  BEPs latest album The E.N.D just carries that flair and that energy and keeps it exciting. Check out their older stuff as well, it’s sick.
